Celebrities are known for expressing their opinions on issues they know nothing about, except what they are told. Others have commented that the main talent of an actor is taking a script, assuming a part and making you believe. I wonder if that is what they are doing when they talk about the environment or economics. Are they simply reading a script that someone else has handed them? Are they even aware of it?
Often I find myself expressing the opinions that others have shared. It may be something I don’t know that much about but I trust my source. That is a necessary part of life in the information age. We cannot know or research everything so we take the word of trusted experts. The big difference is that no one cares what I think. I do not get a bully pulpit on national TV because I am an eighth grade history teacher. I can afford to be a loose cannon.
So who are the people that the celebrities quote and trust? We will probably never know but we do know that they are people who reject the traditional values that have made America great. Because of what is declared we know that they hate America, God and possibly even apple pie unless it is sugar free, gluten free and the apples were organically grown.
Sometimes the opinions of the beautiful are helpful. You can use their stand like I use the advice of the CTA during elections. See what they want me to do and vote the opposite.

Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship
This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.
Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
