I like this picture.
(Proverbs 20:8 KJV) A king that sitteth in the throne of judgment scattereth away all evil with his eyes. One of the roles of a leader is to drive evil away. That means that all of the human garbage that has been infesting the halls of power needs to be sent to the dump. How do we define evil? When you have people that deliberately stifle truth and twist facts they are evil. This applies whether you work for the New York Times, Buzzfeed, The Department of Justice, The State Department or the local church. Tell the truth about them and let them scatter like cockroaches when a light is turned on.
It gets even stronger as you continue to read Proverbs 20.
(Proverbs 20:26 KJV) A wise king scattereth the wicked, and bringeth the wheel over them.We have a possible combined image here. It might be as simple as bringing in the harvest. You cast the grain up in the air and separate the wheat from the chaff. Then you thresh it to break the hulls and get rid of the useless outer layer. It could also be a mixed metaphor. The second could refer to a chariot driving over the fallen enemy.
Either way we need strong action to clean house. I hope that Donald Trump has the focus to stay on target and get something done.

There's a lot of that evil business going around these days.
ReplyDeleteYet as Romans 13 tells us the purpose the government has the sword is to punish evil.

I'm sure all conservatives are with on that one, Pumice.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is we turn the other cheek when we should be reproving. We have a surplus of mercy and a dearth of discernment.
