I was reading a comment at Ace of Spades regarding the results of all this turmoil we are experiencing.
“He games out the two scenarios of a Trump loss or a Trump victory and, like me, comes to the same conclusion that the America we knew, or thought we knew prior to 2008 or for me 2001 is gone.”Let’s assume for a minute that he is right. Is it necessarily a bad thing. Change happens. Remember how black and white TV went to color. Can you remember the first time you heard stereo sound? How about self adjusting brakes on your car? Progress happens and when it does things change. We need to get a little excited about the prospects for change and step up to see that the change is for the better.
The Progressives* have a dream for the future. It is a dream in which they are the elites living in palaces and we are the peasants out plowing the fields. Since we are so inferior we will really be happier that way than if we had air conditioning, flush toilets and microwaves. They know what is best for us. If we do nothing that is where we will end up. If you don’t believe it take a trip to Venezuela or Cuba and get away from the tourist spots.
Our dream is better and it is not a matter of going back to 1950 or 2008. Our dream is to implement our liberty and improve our lives. In the process we will make the entire boat rise on the tide. We will influence the world for better. We will make the differences between free enterprise and a controlled economy glowingly obvious.
Change is not coming; it is here. The only way we can make it good change it to be part of the momentum moving it forward.

The new America came into focus for me when Clinton was elected the second time. I knew then that it was a lost cause.
ReplyDeleteThe Old America is a lost cause. The New America is forming so be praying that there will be revival among the next generation. There isn't much we can do at our age.
