What date will history give to the fall of the American Civilization? I don’t want to get too dramatic but, will it be November 3, 2020? Perhaps in the light of history we will be able to look back to some event like John McCain putting on his turncoat and refusing to vote for the repeal of Obamacare. It may be something that was totally under the radar such as the abortion of the child that was to turn things around. One of the problems we have is living in the middle of interesting times.
When people ask for a date on the end of the Roman Empire we come up with A.D. 476. Was that the date that the barbarians sacked the city? No, it was the date when an emperor took power who was German instead of Italian. If you had been going to work that day you would have noticed no big difference. The Eastern Roman Empire would exist for another thousand years. In the West their would continue to be Emperors of Rome. Historians have picked that as the significant date.
What will happen on November 3? Will the American people rise to the occasion and preserve the republic for another four years? Will the Democrats find a way to destroy the system through lies, corruption and legal ploys? Keep in mind that their total goal is the power to run your life and stop this experiment with people pursuing their own goals for happiness.
And keep in mind that the battle will not stop on November 4.

Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship
This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.
Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

I would go with the day that Bill Clinton was elected for his SECOND term, thus proving that Americans had lost their collective mind and morals.
