Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.

Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Opus 2021-007: While I Have a Chance

This might be a good time to say goodby.  I am not planning on going anywhere but the day is getting nearer when the oligarches that know what is best for us start shutting down access to the internet for anyone who has a controversial thought more disturbing than whether chocolate chip cookies should have nuts or raisins.  If any of the inner circle has an opinion on that it might make the ban.

Yes, I consider the theft of this election as being that significant.

I don’t consider my voice important enough to draw their attention.  This isn’t about me.  I will just be one of the many voices that are turned off because I have not signed a loyalty pledge to Google, bought the latest Microsoft upgrade, reached my quota on Amazon or agreed to take the vaccination.

Someday my voice may disappear from the web.  I will either see you in heaven or in the camps.

  1. At least you're fighting the good fight. Until that day, keep spreading the truth.

    1. And like manure in the garden, it stinks, needs to be worked into the soil and not too concentrated.

  2. Sigh...I keep thinking "to live is Christ, to die is gain." Not particularly looking forward to what the next few years have in store for our country.

    1. I am too lazy to look it up but is that the passage where Paul says he would prefer to go and be with the Lord but will stick around because they need him?

    2. Pretty much. (Philippians 1:21)

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
