Maybe it is time to do away with the secret ballot. Most of us think it has always been this way. Not so. There was a time when your vote was a matter of public record. Part of the reason we went to secret ballots was because of the coercion exercised on people who did not vote the way the local bully boys wanted. Of course the creative energy of the Progressives* can work wonders. Much of the destruction of freedom in our country began with FDR. If you wonder how he was reelected so many times and got so many socialist policies approved consider this record from the depression.
“In the second WPA district, another WPA official who was the area engineer, managed a thorough canvass of the workers in Pulaski and Russell counties. The WPA foremen were given sheets upon which they had to report on the standing of the reliefers in the political campaign. It became a part of Mr Hopkins’ WPA organization in Kentucky to learn how many of the down-and-out had enough devotion to Franklin D. Roosevelt to be entitled to eat. It was not sufficient for an indigent Kentuckian to be just down and out and hungry. He had to believe that the President of the United States was his redeemer and had to be ready to register than belief at the polls. The reliefers were asked to sign papers pledging themselves to the election of the senior senator from Kentucky. They were given campaign buttons and told to wear them and there were instances where, if they refused, they were thrown off the WPA rolls.” p. 134You can understand why Christians of that period feared FDR was the Anti-Christ and had great fear of everyone having a Social Security Number. To them it was the mark of the Beast. How perceptive they were. Now we have threats that we will not be able to buy or sell if we do not have a vaccination card. We have the president being cut off from his banks because the swamp is trying to destroy him. Notice that FDR was willing to let people starve if they did not toe the line.
It would not take much work to set up a voting system where concerned voters could go in and see if their votes actually were tabulated the way they were marked. Like voter ID, the only reason it isn’t happening is that the swamp wants its power.
Welcome to the 1930's.
