I enjoy the memes that some people put together. If you enjoy that type of humor then make a daily stop at Gorges’ Grouse for a generous dose if you are not already doing so. One of the useful niches that memes fill is alerting us to news stories that have been censored or “fact checked.” As patriotic Americans we always need to do a little research to find out if the meme is a distortion. Often it is not.
A recent example of this involves the claim that the test being used to see if you have the Covid virus, the PCR, can’t tell the difference between the flu and Covid. Put that together with the seeming disappearance of colds and flu this year and you come to the conclusion that all the lock downs and panic are grounded in warm unflavored gelatin. If this is true then the entire pandemic is just a pandeception.
I tried to do some research and ended up using Duck-Duck-Go. The screaming headlines I found repeated that the PCR test can’t tell the difference between the flu and the scourge of covid. The sites of the “fact checkers” say that is not what the CDC said. Of course they did. The American Thinker goes into it in more detail and confirms the PCR test can’t tell the difference between flu and covid.
I would recommend reading the article. It has links to the actual CDC statements. One of the interesting facts it brings out is that the PCR test is in the same category as the vaccines, it is not fully approved by the FDA. It is only given emergency approval. They are aware that it is not reliable. By that they mean it reports a large number of false positives and false negatives.
Meanwhile, do yourself a little anti-fear therapy. Go to the World Meter and do a little math. From what I can see the entire country has 106,809 cases per million Americans. Check my math but I think that works out to about 10.6 % of Americans even have the virus. Then when you look at the deaths it comes out at 1.8% of Americans have died. That means that this terrible scourge that is closing down the economy and driving children to psychiatrists has a 98.2 survival rate.
Now factor is all the lies we have heard about how many actually have the virus.
Have a good day.

Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship
This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.
Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
