I am shocked. We seem to have one Democrat who cares about the country. Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia is surprising everyone. He has a history of talking big and voting small. It is necessary because he comes from a very red state. How he gets elected is beyond me but he is coming through better than a Rino lately.
I wonder if he has presidential aspirations. How would the country respond if the choice included a real moderate on the Democratic side? It would certainly make for a more interesting race. It is one of the possibilities that should keep the Republicans on their toes.
Of course I always think it is better to go with the conservative rather than the moderate, but last time I checked no one was listening to me.
