Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship

This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.

Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Opus 2023-079: Small Rebellions

Changing the clocks has become an unnatural change of body rhythm.  I must be getting old because I don’t remember having this much trouble adjusting in the past.

We need to rebel.  If we can’t get the government to fix something this easy they we need to conform only as far as necessary.  Obviously this kind of thing will be easier for us retired folks.  That is why I weaseled out with “as far as necessary.”  That would be different for everyone.

We need to retain the same schedule for all non-government functions.  I used to target going to bed around 8 and getting up at 5.  Now I would just start getting up when the clock said 6 and going down when it said 9.  Whom would be effected except me?  There might need to be some planning and a few will arrive after the doors are locked but we would adjust with time.

Adjust business hours and all free community activities the same way.  If you are involved in planning let it be known what you expect.

Sure you might have to show up for a government appointment at a specific time but that does not happen often for most of us.  Drive so you don’t get a ticket and need to show up in court as a specific time.  In time local city halls might adjust their hours because no one was coming for the first hour.

Just a thought on a minor inconvenience.  I am not going to do anything stupid to advance the idea.

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
