As I stated before, I was not a Watcher of Tucker. I am also not a Watcher of Laura, Jesse, Greg or any of the other voices on Fox that might be speaking truth for us little people. I think we need to think of them as being part of the equation.
I see at least three reasons to fire Tucker.
1. You get rid of an irritation.
2. You stop the flow of information that defies your wokeness.
3. Most important, you send a message to the other irritating voices on your network.
I think all three are really important. I understand the Fox stock took a nosedive. That in itself does not mean much. Stocks go up an down based on emotion. The only way to keep it down and going lower is to hit them in the bottom line.
It is time to apply cancel culture in a free market way. Cancel your subscriptions to all things Fox. I say it that way because I don’t have any subscriptions and I have no idea how many different products this might effect. When you sneak into the doctor’s office and turn the channel away from CNN, you might look for The Food Channel instead of Fox.
I have no idea where all this will lead. I consider it just another broadside from the crony capitalism that is running our country. Pray without ceasing, stand up, speak up, vote informed, spend carefully. My grandchildren are counting on you.

I quit watching TV when it went cable. Dunno if I ever heard a single word that came out of the Fox "News" star's mouth. I did read some transcripts online when I found something that seemed balanced.
ReplyDeleteI quit TubeYou years ago because of censorship. Most USA news I get from reading foreign based news services online. Some small local online news services I do find to be worth following but I skip the videos.

I am not sure when I quit watching TV. I went from only watching special events like the Rose Bowl game and World Series to not even watching those. I always heard enough of what Tucker said from friends. I always assumed they had more time and money than I did.
DeleteI am just starting to access things on You Tube. I don't go there for news but for interviews like Uncommon Knowledge and Socrates in the City. I also find it helpful if I am trying to DIY.

Great post! I gave up watching Fox, except for Tucker, about 6 months ago. Now that they have axed Tucker, I watch not at all. I get my news now online thru The Epoch Times, The Federalist, GatewayPundit, Breitbart. Plus I pick up various other news happenings on Twitter. Actually, I find a calmer life without all that "blah, blah, blah" from TV news. Life is better. I'm sure I'll know when the big bomb drops....
ReplyDeleteMake sure you drop your subscription to Fox. You are probably paying them somehow. I find that I generally know as much as the guys on my Zoom call that watch these news programs. The info is out there is people are willing to look.
DeleteAlso, Vincent is back to writing. He is now on Substack. I think if you click on your old link it will take you to his site. I think you can ignore the request for an email and just click below that. He does not have a paywall so you should be able to get to him. I think he is trying to write about once a week.
