Maybe theocracy is the answer. Don’t panic. The thought is not as scary as it is made out to be. The God haters would have you think that a theocracy would produce a resurrection of the Aztec way of tearing out human hearts, throwing the bodies down the temple stairs and having a pot luck with what hits the bottom. Actually that was a monarchy.
Again we run into false definitions of our secular society. They envision a ruling elite of priests with all the powers of coercion of the modern police state. That is just another form of the totalitarian state with a different group of the better people in charge.
It must be Biblical theocracy. Picture the time of the Judges in the Bible. There was no priestly hierarchy. There was a high priest but he had no army or SWAT team. When needed a judge would be raised up. It seems that the judge could rule for life but had limited power. People farmed and made wine. Merchants traveled and traded. For long periods of time life was good.
And it was not anarchy or arbitrary. There was always the law. A nation ruled by the Ten Commandments would be better off than the administrative state we live in. Do you really think you need a government that is concerned about how much water your toilet uses? If things ever start to fall apart and you are on a committee to restore civilization, don’t rule out the theocracy.

Welcome to Varied Expressions of Worship
This blog will be written from an orthodox Christian point of view. There may be some topic that is out of bounds, but at present I don't know what it will be. Politics is a part of life. Theology and philosophy are disciplines that we all participate in even if we don't think so. The Bible has a lot to say about economics. How about self defense? Is war ethical? Think of all the things that someone tells you we should not touch and let's give it a try. Everything that is a part of life should be an expression of worship.
Keep it courteous and be kind to those less blessed than you, but by all means don't worry about agreeing. We learn more when we get backed into a corner.

Comments are welcome. Feel free to agree or disagree but keep it clean, courteous and short. I heard some shorthand on a podcast: TLDR, Too long, didn't read.
